Brown House Snakes and co.

This Colubrid sub-family comprises of a group of snakes that in many ways are like small pythons. Both the House Snakes Lamprophis sp. and the Wolf Snakes Lycophidion sp. are constrictors and even resemble a python in head shape and defensive posture. None have venom fangs and 4 genera are found in our part of East Africa.
