FAMILY Colubridae - Colubrids

The family Colubridae is without a doubt the largest in the reptile suborder Serpentes. It is made up of some 14 sub-families worldwide and the representative species are found in both the tropical and the temperate habitats. Five of these sub-families are found in our part of East Africa.
